Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah, an Indian actor and singer, is best known for her roles in Tamil and Malayalam films. Her acting debut was in Tamil film Pachaikili Muthucharam as well as her Malayalam debut with Annayum Rasoolum. Andrea Jeremiah grew up in a Tamil Nadu Anglo-Indian family. Andrea's father was a Madras High Court lawyer. There is also an older sister who is currently working as a research associate in Leuven Belgium. Jeremiah was born in Chennai and went to National Public School and graduated from Women's Christian College. She has said that she was an avid fan of science and wanted to become a psychiatrist after passing her 12th board exams.Andrea learned classical piano when she was eight. Young Stars was the Jackson Five-style band that Andrea joined at age 10. The band led her to her first professional singing experience as well as her first music composition. She appeared as performer in her college in several performances hosted through The Madras Players or EVAM. Andrea was the president of The Women's Christian College's Student Senate. Andrea's career in theatre began with Girishkarnad's Nagamandala. She was featured in the leo coffee commercial with Shiva. She also acted in an episode that was retransmitted on Podhigai channel. The actress has acted throughout India. She appeared briefly in Kanda Mudhal's final scene (2005). Gautham Menon asked Andrea to be the main character following her performance. she performed in the film Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu. Andrea was Kalyani the housewife whose husband has an extramarital affair. Andrea was selected for the role following the actresses Simran Shabana as well as Tabu were offered the role. The film premiered in the early 2010s. In 2011 she agreed to play a minor supporting part that was released early in the year.
